This fastback bodystyle was actually never officially available in the Brazilian versions of the Opel Kadett C, which was rebadged as Chevrolet Chevette and, after 2 facelifts, was phased out in '93. The available bodystyles were 2-door and 4-door saloon (sedan), 3-door hatchback and station-wagon, and a 2-door single-cab coupé-utility, conceptually similar to the Australian "utes". The wagon was rebadged as Chevrolet Marajó (after an island in Amazon) and the "ute" was badged as Chevy 500, indicating a 500kg payload.
