This version of the Uno was never manufactured in Brazil, where it still retained a bodyshell based on the European 1st series, modified to accomodate the 127 (locally known as 147) suspension, which required the spare tyre to be located under the engine hood, which was also redesigned in turn to make it easier to pull the spare tyre out. But it had been officially available in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
